There have been so many times where I have tried different things and not succeeded. I won’t say ‘failed’ this time – because I have learned and I believe that failure is in reality feedback as to what has worked and what has not, and therefore what should be done differently.
Not being naturally blessed to be exceptional at anything - but being someone who always wants to be better - I feel I have a hunger and thirst for continuous learning and trying to find better ways of doing things. This is the same passion I bring to all the training programs my team and I deliver for our clients all over the world.
I recall my desire to be a part of the debating team when I was in school. I worked hard at it, but there was a constant fear in my mind that I would forget everything I had to say when I had to speak and would struggle to get the words out.
The day of the debate came along, and I got up to speak – all my fears became a reality. I failed. This was the first and last debate I participated in while at school; I was incapable of speaking for even three minutes. Many years later, I now host training sessions that last days. Speaking is no longer a problem; it is now a pleasure. What changed? I honestly don’t know how the change happened. It was a definite evolution. I know that my self-belief changed somewhere down the line.

The more I tried, fell down, got up and tried again, the better I became.

Learning, experimenting and not being afraid to make mistakes has helped me to develop training and coaching programs to help others who want to learn, and who are not satisfied with the status-quo to become the best version of themselves in aspects that are important to them. It has also helped me to coach many choirs to international standards and one to be world champions, winning global competitions and competing against other choirs from around the world, and also to start two organizations – one focused on helping people make behavioral changes, and the other teaching children and adults the performing arts. It has also helped me to lecture for programs of study leading to Masters and Bachelor’s degrees awarded by universities such as Manchester Metropolitan, Wales and Moratuwa.
It pays to try out new things without fear of failure; and at times it also pays to not know the rules – this way you are not restricted within a framework of norms or expectations. Of course, being aware of the status-quo and the rules and choosing to consciously break out of them is even better! Both of the above have worked for me in different ways.
Helping people to develop a love of reading and also radically increase the reading they do in the same amount of time, has been an especially rewarding experience. I love to read and have always been an avid reader. However, at one point I was overwhelmed by the amount of reading I had to do for my work and studies.

I had too much to read and not enough time.

That was when I stumbled on the technique of Speed Reading. I got some material on the subject and taught myself the skill – problem solved!
Many years later I realized that many people needed the benefits that Speed Reading could give them. There were lots of courses and books which taught how to Speed Read – but none of them helped the ‘learner’ to eliminate negative thoughts about themselves and gave insights into reading. None of them addressed the myths about reading and how these had become our rock-solid beliefs.
I realized that if I was to successfully teach this skill to others, helping them change their beliefs, state, and emotions would be important. Many, many years down the line with many changes along the way, we now have the ‘Lightning Reading System’, which involves not just teaching the skill of Speed Reading but an entire learning and development structure. We are extremely proud to have taught thousands of people the Lightning Reading System from 24 countries across the world and are looking to teach thousands more.

I have also been working with professionals across industries for many years…

Through the work we do, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals at every level — from high-potential young executives to C-suite leaders — become the best version of themselves.
Many professionals I meet are technically brilliant but often struggle when it comes to inspiring their teams, leading under pressure, navigating tough conversations, or even presenting their ideas with clarity and confidence. Others find themselves working long hours yet not making the impact they know they’re capable of. Some simply feel stuck — as if they’ve reached a plateau.
We realized very early on that what people need most isn’t just more information — they need transformation. A shift in mindset. A boost in confidence. The tools to lead, communicate, influence, and thrive.
That’s why we’ve designed programs that help professionals:
- Develop strong, resilient and authentic leadership
- Build high-performing, collaborative teams
- Communicate and present with impact
- Navigate feedback, conflict and change with confidence
- Achieve personal mastery and productivity without burnout

We’ve helped over 21,000 people in 24 countries break through limits they didn’t even know they had.
It’s been amazing to watch people walk out of these sessions not just more skilled, but more driven, focused, and alive — with a clear sense of purpose and the courage to take bold action.
These are a few ways in which my team and I try to make a difference. If we can help others achieve their goals and dreams and help them have a happier and more fulfilling life, then our life has actually been of benefit! This is what my team and I believe, and this is what we will continue to do.
We are always looking for people who share our beliefs and values whom we could collaborate and partner with. We are also on the lookout for people who would like to join our team.

Most of all, we are always looking for people who need our help.
Do reach out. We would love to hear from you.
